Shrinking the Cost of College: Twitter Chat Tonight

In order to participate in the chat, attendees will need to have a Twitter account.  To sign up for a Twitter account, go to http:// twitter.com. The easiest way to follow the chat is to use TweetChat (http://tweetchat.com). Simply log in to TweetChat with your Twitter information (email or username followed by password) and then enter in CollegeChat without the “#” and you will be placed into the chat room with only those participating in #CollegeChat.   1. Fascinating stuff! I think one of the best ways to get money for college is applying en masse for every scholarship you qualify for! Leveraging gender is an effective method, but also analyzing what makes one unique. For example, I’m a first generation college student, and my parents make very little money. These kinds of things open up a lot of doors in terms of scholarships!

    I’d also like to mention that cutting costs on the essentials in college is another great way to ensure that you don’t needlessly spend money. Besides tuition, one of the killers is college textbooks. I have compiled some pretty good tips on saving on one of my hubs, especially when it comes to getting more money for bought books. I highly recommend it for those who are trying to cut costs!
