Every weekend, I like to share the most recent college posts that I wrote for CBSMoneyWatch.com.
The post that generated the most traffic — and great placement on CBSMoneyWatch.com — focused on a young woman, who graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in just two years.Even for a bright student that’s quite a feat. As I mention in the post, How I Graduated from Berkeley in Just Two Years, close to 40% of UC Berkeley students don’t even graduate in four years.
Lose Your Job? Sue Your Alma Mater.
In this post, I write about an angry college graduate who is suing her alma mater because she hasn’t got since she received her diploma in April. I don’t think the woman has a chance, but her case prompted me to look at the much larger issue of accountability among colleges and universities.
I loved this post because it provides some wonderful free tutoring resources for teenagers in some subjects like calculus and physics. Two of the subjects that I can’t possibly help my kids with.
