2 Great Resources for Summer Programs for High School Students

Now’s the time to start thinking about summer programs for high school students.

The number of summer school programs and camps for teens can be daunting, but there are two resources that can make the search manageable.

Enrichment Alley

On this site you’ll find a great database of summer programs for teenagers that you can search using criteria that’s important to you. You can hunt for summers programs by subject, location and type such as academic, community service, internship or travel opportunity.

You can also check Enrichment Alley by using its alphabetic listings. On the site, I found such college summer programs as Barnard College:  Summer in New York City, Summer Institute of the Gifted and Harvard Secondary School Program. I also stumbled across the Dinosaur Academy in Wyoming, which looked fun.

Peterson’s Summer Programs and Camps Search

Here’s another handy database of summer college programs, camps, travel adventures and more. (I wish I was a kid again.) You can type in specific program names or general topics such as archeology camps in California or college prep camps in Massachusetts.

Stay tuned. I will be sharing more about summer programs soon.
